Simba Nik Naks-Crusted Chicken Tenders

Crispy, flavor-packed chicken with a South African twist.

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Simba Fruit Chutney Nik Naks, crushed finely

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into strips

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Oil for frying (or use an air fryer)

  • Optional: Mrs. H.S. Ball’s Chutney for dipping

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep Coating Stations:

    • Place flour in one bowl (season with salt & pepper).

    • Beaten eggs in another.

    • Crushed Nik Naks in a third bowl.

  2. Dredge Chicken:

    • Coat chicken strips in flour, then egg, then crushed Nik Naks.

  3. Cook:

    • Fry in hot oil (180°C / 350°F) for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

    • OR air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve hot with Mrs. H.S. Ball’s Chutney on the side.
