Ouma Rusk Rooibos Milk Tart Parfait

A no-bake layered dessert with the nostalgic taste of milk tart and rooibos tea.

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 4–5 Ouma Buttermilk or Muesli Rusks, crushed

  • 2 Freshpak Rooibos Tea bags

  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • 1 cup vanilla custard (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon, for dusting

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Steep Rooibos Cream:

    • Brew the Freshpak Rooibos Tea in 1/3 cup boiling water.

    • Let steep for 10 minutes. Cool completely.

    • Whip the cream with the cooled tea, vanilla extract, and sugar (optional) until soft peaks form.

  2. Layer the Parfait:

    • In a glass or jar, layer crushed Ouma Rusks, then a spoonful of custard, then rooibos cream.

    • Repeat until the jar is full.

  3. Finish:

    • Dust the top with cinnamon.

    • Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
